Ecto Fantasy, Part
3
Okay, let's take care of business first. The
Ghostbusters characters are not mine, and this story
is inspired by one of the greatest RPGs of all time, Squaresoft's 'Chrono Cross'. Takes place after "The
Trial." -

"It's been a few days since Kylie & Kevin has been captured. Kylie has learned a lot about the city of Yorne and Rajos. Unfortunately, Kevin was still knocked-out.
"How long has he been out?" asked a Tey Doctor.
"He's been unconscious for three
days," replied Kylie.
"Damn Tiods, they should've been
outlawed years ago..."
"What's a Tiod?" asked
Kylie.
Jekro answered. "A way Rajos
minions keeps power of the people. It doesn't kill them, but it'll keep them incapacitated
for awhile, but this young person has been out cold for thr..."
Suddenly Kevin eyes opened and he
grabbed the doctor by the neck. He then looked at Kylie.
"Never count a Shamrock
out," he said with a smile. "Ok doc, you're gonna help us get outta
here."
"And where would you two
go?"
"I said 'us'. That guy in the
other cell is coming too."
"Why are you helping me?"
asked Jekro.
"Simple, it was her idea."
Jekro looked at Kylie, then shook his head.

WORLD - NEW YORK
"This is Dan Rather, over the
past few days strange events have been happening world wide. Numerous energy
fields have been appearing all over the world. New York, San Diego, Australia,
Russia, Ireland, Egypt, Peru and several other major cities & countries have
been suffering the effects of these fields. Such effects include loss of
communication and power outages..."
"This is unbelievable,"
said Ray as he lowered the volume on the TV.
"Between these gates, and Kylie
& the Kevin character being who knows where..." started Peter.
"They are in another
dimension," said Egon as he entered the room.
"How do you know?" asked
Roland, looking up from a newspaper he was
reading.
"These gates lead to another
world, where a being known as Rajos has gained control."
"Again, how do you
know?"
"Simple, a surprise guest came
to the firehouse last night & gave me this
information."
"And where is this
'guest'?" asked Peter.
"Right here." Egon stepped aside
to reveal a female Otled, with short red hair, brown eyes, and a figure that got
Roland to look more than once.
"What the heck are you,
Chica?" asked Eduardo.
"My name is Charin, and as you
see, I'm not from this world," she replied. "I came here to see if you
could help my world."
"Why do you need our help? And
how did you learn about us?" asked Winston.
"Two of your kind, I'm guessing
your friends were brought back through the rip. One got free and grabbed his
weapon and started firing before he was knocked out, the other didn't manage to
get free, so she was in good health."
"That explains what happened to
Kev & Ky, but how'd you learn where to find us?" asked Roland.
"The one knocked out,
dropped this," she held up Kevin's w
"What can you tell us about
Rajos?" asked Ray.
"Not much, she is very powerful,
no normal weapons would work against her. Her troops have some type of armor
made from what my people call Tyrainium."
"Tyrai-what?" asked
Eduardo, but she continued.
"Not long ago, Rajos started to
conquer different kingdoms. First to fall was the Resika empire, then Wordut.
She has recently overran my home of Yorne."
"This is great!" said Ray. Unfortunately
everyone looked at him. "In a highly fairy tale sort of way..."
Suddenly Slimer came flying into the room and turned up the volume on the
TV.
"Ladies and Gentleman, 15
minutes ago, a large force of creatures have come out of the energy fields and
are making their way towards the nearest major city. Who they are is unknown at
this time..."
"Hey Charin, what are those
things?" asked Eduardo. "The bodies of all those who opposed
Rajos..."

WORLD - YORNE
Kevin, Kylie & Jekro made their
way out of the prison area and into a large chamber. It was dominated by large
double doors to the north, stain glass windows to south with a small door below
them.
"What the hell is this
place?" asked Kevin, as he looked around.
"This is the king's
palace," replied Jekro.
"Damn, Bush would be
jealous..." mumbled Kevin. As they head for the main door to the south, the
doctor from the prison came running in with about 10 guards.
"You're not getting away!"
yelled one of the guards. The guards surrounded the trio when suddenly the
lights went out.
"What's going on?!"
yelled one of the guards.
"Oh you don't know?" asked
a voice coming from the shadows.
"Tell you better call
somebody!" yelled another. For several minutes, their was a lot of
screaming and commotion. When the lights came back on, the trio looked around
and saw that all the guards were knocked out. Standing in front of them were two
people. Both were male, but one was tall, muscular with long white hair. The
other short, limber, but he wore a mask the covered his face & hair.
"Hey Jek," said one. "I thought you said you weren't going to
need help?"
"Yeah, and who are these
two?" asked the masked one.
"Kylie, Kevin, I'd like you to
meet the Zikna twins, Grek (the mask one) and Meiky (the other)."
"Hey, I hate to be the one
to kill the mood..." started Kevin.
"Right, let's get outta
here," said Jekro.
With that, they ran outside,
where Kylie looked around. "Reality is right out the window
here..."
