All I own is the story and the plot (if you can call it that) that goes with
it. So don't file a lawsuit!
Thank You.
Note: I make some references to another story I read at the GBFF, so I must
give credit to 'Let's Get Ready to Rumble' by Venkman1. This is not a follow up, just
another Ghostbusters/Wrestling blend. Also, to any wrestling fan that has
come across this story, I'll explain why I did this at the end. Enjoy.
WHERE: WWF NY in Times Square
It was typical day in preparations for Sunday Night Heat. Michael Cole &
Tazz were going over all the notes, and highlights from the previous week.
They were reviewing a segment that featured the Right to Censor in a match
against Raven. Tazz shut the tape off in disgust.
"You know MC, I'm sick of these RTC yahoos," Tazz stated, and started
pacing.
"I hear ya, Tazz, but what can we do about it? Mr. McMahon tried to stop
them but even he failed to stop that..." Michael said.
"Pompous, arrogant, $&*@$?" Tazz suggested.
"My words exactly. And to make matters worse, they're the special guests for
Heat tonight here in your house."
"Don't remind me MC. I don't care how, but I'm going to get rid of the RTC.
But first I have to make a call," Tazz said, and got up and headed for the
door.
"Who ya gonna call?" asked Michael.
Tazz stopped turned and said...
*****
"Ghostbusters, how can we help you?"
Roland & Eduardo looked over at the desk, as the temp secretary answered the
incoming call.
"Ok... interesting... all right sir, just give me the address.... don't
worry sir, they'll be there."
The secretary hung the phone up, and took the message over to Roland.
"There some thing going on at WWF New York, the person that'll explain
everything is some guy named Tazz."
"WWF New York? Hey Eduardo, isn't there where that Heat program airs from?"
Eduardo thought for a quick second before responding.
"Yeah, they do a show every Sunday I think."
"This doesn’t make sense..."
"What doesn't?" asked Kylie as she entered the firehouse over hearing the
conversation.
"This doesn't. We got a call from some guy named Tazz to go to WWF New York,
on the day that they air a weekly program."
"What for?" asked Eduardo.
"He didn't say. All he said was that everything would be explained when we
got there," replied Roland.
"As long as no dead wrestlers try to take over the world again, I say
let's
do it," said Eduardo, remembering that last case.
"Eduardo..." Kylie started to say but held back. "Let's suit up and get over
there."
*****
Back at WWF New York, Tazz & Michael Cole were pacing back and force.
"You think Vince is gonna be mad over this?" asked MC.
"No... after what happened at Survivor Series, he'll thank us," replied
Tazz.
Tazz and Michael went from the lounge to the restaurant floor. When they got
there they saw Raven and WWF spokesperson Shawn Michaels waiting at a table
in the far corner. They went over and sat down.
"How's it going guys?" asked Shawn, taking a sip of coffee.
"Could be worse..." replied Michael.
"It will get a lot worse for us if this doesn't go down right..." muttered
Tazz, just loud enough for Raven to hear him.
"Doesn’t what go down?" asked Raven, curious by what the human suplex
machine said.
"You gonna tell them, or should I do it?" asked Michael, seeing Tazz a bit
uncertain.
"I'll do it..."
Tazz went on to explain how he and Michael were fed up with Steven Richards
and the RTC, and that they were going to explain the whole thing to the
Ghostbusters.
"Man, that's heavy," said Shawn, a bit shocked over the whole deal. "You
mean Stevie was possessed by some thing before Summerslam?"
"Makes sense in a way," said Raven. "He never was like this when we were in
ECW or WCW, then this sudden change..."
"Things haven worse around here since he'd," said Michael. "Too Cool hasn't
been seen since the Royal Rumble, we lost Jerry & Stacy back at No Way Out,
and there numbers have increased drastically over the past few weeks."
"Don't remind me," replied Raven. "With Edge, Malenko, Trish, and Hunter now
with them no one is safe."
The four continued until the front doors opened and three young adults, two
males, the other a young lady, entered. Realizing that it wasn't time for
the restaurant to open, Shawn went over to them.
"Excuse me, but we don't open until later on tonight..."
"We're not here to eat, sir," said the tall Hispanic. "We're here about
someone needed a spook busted."
"Oh, you must be the Ghostbusters Tazz was talking about," said Shawn. "Hey
Tazz, the Ghostbusters are here. By the way, I'm Shawn."
"I'm Kylie and this is Eduardo and that's Roland," said the young lady.
Roland wasn't little time to take out his PKE meter and began sweeping the
area.
Eduardo went over to the table were the others were.
"Let's not waste time," said Michael, getting straight to the point. "We’ve
want to hire you to help persuade err..."
Tazz groaned and then interrupted. "We want you to take care of the Right to
Censor."
Eduardo had a puzzled look on his face. "Why do you want us to get involved
with your business?"
Shawn, Roland & Kylie came over to table and sat down.
"You want to know why, here it is..." Tazz started.

FLASHBACK TO SUMMER OF 2000
It was another typical Raw is War for the WWF. Little in ring action, and
lot of talking. Dancing' Stevie Richards was leaving the building and headed
for the airport, ready for the Smackdown taping, even though he was just
going to do a run in. Funny thing was that Stevie never made it to the
airport.
Two weeks later, on Raw, Terri Runnels was going to 'flash' the audience
when the titantron went black and a prohibited sign started flashing every
few seconds. Out ran Stevie, dressed in a white shirt, black tie, pants &
shoes, and for the record white socks. Jim Ross noticed that Stevie had an
almost blank stare in his eyes despite the expression on his face, but
dismissed it, not thinking it important. He wrapped Terri in a large
blanket, which had a prohibited logo drawn on it and dragged her to the
back.
Bull Buchanan later caught up with Stevie after the broadcast to ask him
what the heck he was doing. Something went down, and on Smackdown, Bull was
dressed like Stevie. Over the next few months The Godfather, Val Venus and
Ivory also joined Stevie, who over the course of that time was calling
himself Steven.
Mr. McMahon and Triple H confronted Stevie & his group in the ring on Sunday
Night Heat. This led to a match at the November Survivor Series, that had
McMahon, Triple H, Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle take on the RTC. Everything was
in their favor until Stevie was left by himself, then Stevie manhandled
Triple H, Benoit and Kurt, leaving just McMahon. McMahon held his own for a
few minutes but the possessed Steven soon super kicked him out of the ring
and halfway up the entrance way. McMahon was counted out, and Steven grabbed
the mic.
"This is only the tip of the ice berg. Soon more WWF superstars will be
force to join the Right to Censor, and it'll be for everyone's own good."
Steven had a twisted look on his face, but his eyes were dead, over the next
few months, other superstars fell under Steven's power. First was Trish
Stratus, after Test & Albert were attacked from behind, Steven & Ivory
abducted her. Dean Malenko was the next to fall, followed by Edge who
sacrificed himself to save his brother Christian. Steven struck a major blow
when he set his eyes on Triple H. The Game fought long & hard but couldn't
hold out under the constant attacks and mind games. Steven has since been
focusing on the Hardy Boys, Kai en Tai and The Undertaker.
With McMahon out of action, Jerry 'The King' Lawler decided to step and
fight the RTC. With the help of Bradshaw, Faarooq, The Kat and others, he
managed to hold Steven off, until No Way Out. Steven got control of the Kat
for a few minutes and caused her to betray the King. A few days later, The
King & Kat were no longer in the WWF.

PRESENT DAY
Eduardo looked at Kylie & Roland after Tazz finished. Both had unsure looks
on their faces, leaving Eduardo to make the choice of helping them or not.
"How do we know this is true?" he asked.
"The RTC is going to be here tonight, we can have you guys here to take any
scans or whatever you do to tell if we're telling the truth," said Shawn.
The Ghostbusters again looked at each other, unsure in if they should take
the case.
"The last we got involved with wrestling almost cost me my life," Kylie
said.
"But that was a guy coming back from the dead..." said Roland.
"And let's not forget it was a disguise for the Gozer clown," added Eduardo.
"This Steven guy, according to Tazz is possessed."
"Okay, you got a point." Kylie then looked at the WWF superstars. "We'll
take the case."
"Great!" replied Tazz. "Cause I've got a plan..."
*****
LATER THAT NIGHT
In an area out of the sight of the crowd, The Ghostbusters & the WWF
superstars stood ready to bust the Right to Censor. Tazz & Michael were up
at the broadcast position making like there was nothing going down. They
went through the normal opening routine, talking about the past week and
telling the at-home audience what was schedule and who the guest hosts were.
After a commercial break, the RTC music hit, followed by a heavy chorus of
boos. Out stepped Steven and the RTC. Steven had that same dead eye, sick
smile look on his face, as well as a microphone.
"Well it seems that it is time for the Right to Censor to add another member
or two. And who better to add that two people that host this immoral
program. Tazz & Mr. Cole, you will..."
Tazz cut him off. "Hey Steve, you forgot whose house your in. I think it's
time that someone shut you up and set you back to normal. Yo crew hit the
lights!"
The lights went dead in WWFNY. There was a little commotion in the crowd,
but nothing for any concern. They all thought that this was part of the
show. On the darken stage, the RTC looked at each other wondering what was
going. Steven again spoke into the microphone.
"Tazz! What ever it is you're trying to do it won't work, you'll become a
member of Right to Censor and it'll be for your own..."
Again Steven was cut of this time by the start of a song being played over
the PA system. Suddenly several lights came on, all focusing on one part of
the restaurant. A collective gasp from the crowd and the RTC as they saw
Tazz with several people standing in the shadows.
"Let me introduce you to some friends of mine. They're New Yorkers, and like
myself they're going to kick your @$$!"
The song that was being played suddenly changed to the 'Ghostbusters' theme.
The crowd went nuts as they realized what was going down and began heading
for the exits. Out of the shadows stepped Eduardo, Kylie & Roland, proton
guns drawn and trained onto Steven.
"On three!"
"Three!"
The proton streams shot out and hit Steven, who naturally began to struggle
to break free. Suddenly something pulled out of Steven who fell to the
ground. It was a small ugly creature with dark red eyes, a large mouth, and
a not so happy look on its face.
The Ghostbusters stopped blasting Steven and looked at the creature. Michael
spoke for them all.
"What the in the crimson heck is that?!"
"That's the source of all your problems," said Roland as he and the other
Ghostbusters attempted to blast the creature, but it bolted out of the way
and ran for the exit. It almost made it, when it suddenly fell forward, the
Ghostbusters again attempted to snare it again, but again it ducked.
"This isn't working!" said Eduardo.
"I have an idea!" said Kylie. "Roland shoot just in front of that thing, me
and Ed will hit it from behind!"
"Right!"
Roland fired in front of the creature, which turned to avoid his stream, but
was greeted with two proton streams that held it fast. Roland joined them in
holding the creature. Kylie reached behind her, grabbed and threw the ghost
trap out in one smooth motion. She opened the trap and the creature was
sucked in, causing the trap to close with a metallic snap.
*****
Meanwhile Tazz, Raven and HBK ran up the side to confront the RTC. But they
didn't have to, as the RTC looked at each other wondering what was going on.
None of them had any memory of the past few months. Tazz then checked on
Stevie, who was still out.
"You mind telling me why I'm in the stupid outfit?" asked Triple H.
"You don't want to know," replied Shawn.
Tazz checked to make sure Stevie was breathing. Seeing that he was, he
slapped him across the face.
"Yo! Stevie wake up!"
At this time the Ghostbusters came on to the stage, and the crowd was
filtering back into the restaurant. Everyone was waiting for Stevie to wake
up. Finally he did. Slowly, but surely, Stevie opened hit eyes and sat up,
grabbing his head.
"Wha... what happened?" he asked, looking around, he noticed the former RTC
members, and then looked down at what he was wearing. "And why am I dressed
like a graduate from the postal academy?"
With a sigh of relief, Tazz and Raven helped him up. Tazz then turned his
attention to the Ghostbusters.
"Okay how much is this gonna run me?" he asked, reaching for his wallet.
"About two thousand." replied Roland. Tazz paid, in cash. As if on cue, the
crowd broke out in the classic Ghostbuster chant until Triple H then came
face to face with the three.
"I'd never thought I'd say this, even though I don't have a clue on what
happen, I'll like to thank you. You guys are that damn good."
WWF New York again became unglued, and for the rest of the night it was
party central.
The End.
Sorry for the cheese-whiz ending, but I had to finish this thing somehow. In
case anyone was wondering where Garrett was, read my other story 'Garrett's
Last Day'.
To any wrestling fan that may have come across this story. I don't know how
the whole RTC thing started, or ended for that mater. This was something I
planned originally for an Undertaker/Ghostbusters crossover, with the XGBs
taking down the Ministry of Darkness, but it has been almost two years since
that storyline died. The RTC was the next best (?) thing.
