dealt with the tragic events on Sept. 11,
2001. I did this not to make light of the situation, but as a way to deal with
the emotions that still run
through the country.
The Days After - Kevin
by Frederick Aaron Ortiz
Kevin Shamrock was lucky. Plain and simple. He was in Boston that Tuesday
morning, finishing the preparations to have the rest of his stuff moved to New
York. Although he felt good that he was alive, he was in no way, shape or form
the young man he once was.
"The one time I go with my gut feelings, and something like happens."
Kevin sat in Central Park, thinking on what he could've done if he was on that
flight.
"Maybe I could've stopped them."
The pain that is running through him not something anyone should have to live
with, but Kevin knows that
it wasn't his fault that he wasn't there.
"I've didn't want to spend the extra cash for a flight, I mean, anyone
could've done the same..."
If there is one thing Kevin knows is that someone was going to pay, and pay
dearly. For the suffering that
this great nation is going through and the guilt that he is feeling...
